TMT Foundation

TMT Foundation is a registered UK charity established in 2012, governed by three longstanding trustees, with a mission to address medical needs, relieve poverty, alleviate homelessness, and empower disadvantaged children through educational opportunities via its 'Giving Hope Through Education' programmes. Rooted in values of social justice, compassionate direct aid, and breaking cycles of disadvantage, it prioritises high-impact interventions for the most marginalised, focusing on health grants, poverty relief, homelessness initiatives, children's education, and to a lesser extent religion, disability, accommodation, and support for armed forces or emergency services. Beneficiaries include children and young people in adversity, the elderly, disabled individuals, other charities, voluntary groups, and the general public, with grants supporting projects, facilities, buildings, open spaces, and acute individual cases.

Eligible applicants are strictly UK-registered charities, with a strong preference for smaller, grassroots organisations based in the UK—particularly Somerset and Dorset in South West England—over larger or national entities. There is no strict income threshold, but it favours those addressing acute needs unlikely to attract mainstream funding; unsolicited applications are not accepted, and geographic focus emphasises local impact across England and Wales.

Grants typically range from £500 to £10,000, with annual disbursements around £56,850, awarded discretionarily at quarterly trustee meetings without fixed deadlines or public calls. Applications succeed via direct approaches or referrals, prioritising religious causes for organisations and immediate hardships for individuals. Distinctively selective, TMT avoids broad grantmaking, instead championing transformative education, religious activities, and regional south-west priorities, setting it apart as a targeted supporter of vulnerable children and personal stories of change rather than open competitions or multi-year commitments.
