We recently worked with a small CIC running nature-based therapy groups for women who had experienced domestic abuse. Twenty women attended each week, finding healing and community in those sessions.
After a couple of declined applications, the founder had begun using personal savings and credit cards to keep the service running. She felt such deep responsibility to these vulnerable women who had nowhere else to go.
