The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Aid Society (FAS) is the regimental benevolent and welfare fund for the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and its antecedents, with roots tracing back to the regiment's formation. Its core mission is to provide lifelong support to the entire "Fusiliers family"—serving personnel, retirees, regulars, reserves, and immediate dependants—facing hardship, vulnerability, or disadvantage, upholding values of loyalty, duty of care, and dignity. Distinctively, FAS blends traditional regimental commitment with modern innovations like the Fusiliers Connect digital platform, a peer support network with over 1,400 members offering mental health resources, activity groups, and welfare signposting.

FAS prioritises needs-based grants for financial distress, ill-health, physical/mental disabilities, bereavement, recovery from injury/illness, disability adaptations, essential living costs, and children's educational needs. It also funds structural projects like digital welfare platforms and multi-regimental initiatives (e.g., Infantry Connect), emphasising preventive wellbeing, community connection, and collaboration with military charities for holistic impact.

Eligibility is strictly limited to individuals with verified Fusiliers regimental links, UK-wide with no locality restrictions; organisations and charities cannot apply directly or unsolicited—referrals must come from welfare caseworkers (e.g., SSAFA, Royal British Legion) after exhausting statutory support. Typical individual grants range £250–£3,000 (case-by-case, often partial funding); larger project awards exceed £50,000. Applications roll continuously via referrals to Regimental Headquarters, with urgent cases prioritised promptly.

FAS excludes general public or non-regimental causes, statutory-redundant support, and direct organisational funding; its uniqueness lies in person-centred, flexible assessments, tech-driven engagement, and deep regimental ethos, differentiating it from broader veterans' charities.
