Exclusively funding The Royal Marsden's clinicians, researchers, and pre-selected partners at its London and Surrey sites, it does not accept unsolicited applications from external organisations, charities, or any other entities—regardless of size, income, geography, or religious status. There are no open application processes, forms, deadlines, or competitive rounds; decisions are internal, rolling, and aligned with hospital priorities. Typical grants range from £500,000 to £10 million for large-scale strategic projects, with annual expenditure exceeding £20 million. This closed, purpose-driven model distinguishes it as a hospital-exclusive funder, rejecting small grants, core costs for outsiders, or unrelated activities, ensuring direct enhancement of oncology excellence.
