Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust

Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust (PKHT), an independent Scottish charity established in 1988, is dedicated to protecting, conserving, enhancing, and promoting the historic environment across the Perth and Kinross local authority area. As one of Scotland’s core area-based heritage trusts, it drives heritage-led regeneration for economic, social, and environmental benefits through conservation, education, community engagement, archaeology, interpretation, outreach, and skills training in traditional trades. Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and small-to-medium community groups based in or delivering within Perth and Kinross; no strict income limits, but preference for local, community-focused entities. Unsolicited applications accepted with stages: EOI/pre-application first (rolling for Perth City Fund), then full form. Biannual decisions on 31 January and 31 July; Community Grants up to £5,000 typically, Perth City varying by scope (confirm limits directly). Excludes non-heritage projects, national/large organisations, or work outside the area. Distinctive for its integrated grant-making, direct project management, archival stewardship, and proactive sectoral leadership.
