Parkwater Foundation, established in 2004 as a company limited by guarantee and registered as a UK charity in 2005, is a family-led philanthropic trust governed by unpaid trustees from the Bleier and Diamant families. Its core mission focuses on relieving poverty among the elderly or those in need, hardship, or distress within the Orthodox Jewish community; advancing the Orthodox Jewish faith; and promoting education aligned with Orthodox Judaism tenets. Rooted in values of community responsibility, faith-based philanthropy, and sustainable wellbeing, it operates with a lean structure, minimal overheads, and a cautious investment approach from property and loans to ensure steady grant-making.

The foundation prioritizes institutional support for Orthodox Jewish welfare, including poverty relief, religious infrastructure, faith advancement, and education programs. Grants target core costs, institutional development, program support, and capital needs for UK-based Jewish community organizations, particularly those serving vulnerable groups like the elderly, with a nucleus in London but UK-wide scope if mission-aligned.

Eligible applicants are exclusively UK-registered charities with strong Orthodox Jewish identities, preferably medium to large established institutions demonstrating impact in aligned areas; grassroots or very small groups are less favored, and there are no strict income thresholds. It does not accept unsolicited applications—trustees proactively identify and approach beneficiaries—and holds ad hoc trustee meetings without published deadlines or forms. Typical grants range from £10,000 to £100,000 annually per organization.

Distinctively, Parkwater funds only organizations (never individuals), shuns generalist or non-Jewish causes, and maintains discretion without public grantee lists or advertised rounds, differentiating it as a stable, non-public-facing, faith-exclusive grant-maker emphasizing long-term community stability over broad outreach.
