NABS, the National Advertising Benevolent Society, is an independent UK charity founded over a century ago to support individuals in the advertising, media, marketing services industries, and associated suppliers. Its core mission advances mental wellness and professional resilience amid the sector's high-pressure dynamics, guided by values of compassion, empowerment, respect, integrity, empathy, confidentiality, and inclusiveness. Distinctively, NABS acts as the industry's safety net, embedding mental health awareness through a preventative, holistic, person-centred model that prevents crises and builds sector sustainability.

It prioritises mental health, career transitions, financial hardship, redundancy, parental support, and professional development for current and former professionals—including freelancers, interns, and self-employed—at all career stages. Services include a free 1:1 advice line, therapy/counselling grants, financial aid, upskilling workshops, mentoring, business training, events, and peer support, delivered UK-wide to those with substantial sector experience.

Eligibility is strictly for individuals, not organisations or charities; no unsolicited applications from entities are accepted. There are no income, size, or religious restrictions, but beneficiaries must tie to the defined UK industries.

Grants are tailored case-by-case with no fixed ranges, awarded rolling via initial phone/email contact to the Advice Line for eligibility assessment and prompt support. NABS excludes project, core, capital, or organisational funding, focusing solely on individual interventions—unique for its sector-exclusive, integrative approach combining psychological, financial, and developmental aid.
