It funds projects enhancing WIS recovery, including adaptive sports events, virtual leagues, adventure challenges (e.g., marathons, rowing), peer support, family involvement, research partnerships, and grassroots veterans' initiatives. Support targets mental health, social inclusion, personal development, and capacity-building for teams from over 20 Invictus Community of Nations, often collaborating with bodies like the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.

Eligible applicants are primarily WIS teams or connected organizations from Invictus nations; no strict entity types, income thresholds, or geographic limits apply, with preference for small, grassroots groups. Unsolicited applications are not accepted generally—funding is invitation- or partnership-based—but Invictus Endeavours grants for sporting/adventurous challenges use an online form, reviewed quarterly by the Programmes Advisory Board (decisions in 2-3 months, no fixed deadlines). Typical grants range £5,000–£20,000 (£10,000 max per nation for Endeavours); no core/unrestricted or open rounds. Exclusions include generic proposals outside strategic pillars; it uniquely excels in global convening, beneficiary-led impact, and evidence-based transformation of military recovery narratives.
