Dandara Charitable Partnership

The Dandara Charitable Partnership, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation established in 2016 and closely linked to the Isle of Man-based Dandara Group property developer (founded 1987), channels grants to local charities and social purpose organisations delivering public benefit in communities across England, Wales, Scotland, Jersey, and the Isle of Man. Guided by values of integrity, social responsibility, safeguarding, and ESG principles, it proactively supports initiatives fostering safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities, with a distinctive focus on aligning philanthropy with the parent company's construction and property sector operations.

It prioritises education and training, accommodation/housing, arts/culture/heritage/science, and especially physical/mental health—particularly mental health and wellbeing in construction, via partnerships like the national Lighthouse Club for worker suicide prevention. Other emphases include environmental protection, community enhancement through gardening/wildlife/sustainability projects, and support for local residents, young people, vulnerable groups, and construction workers via helplines, drop-in centres, and grassroots activities.

Eligible entities are UK-registered charities and social enterprises operating in specified areas, favouring small-to-medium, locally rooted groups without strict income limits. Grants, typically £500–£10,000 for projects, core costs, or capital (occasionally larger for strategic partnerships), are awarded invite-only by trustees; unsolicited applications are not accepted, with no public deadlines, forms, or processes—organisations must align closely with Dandara's objectives to be approached. It excludes individuals, national/large charities, and non-local or non-charitable efforts, standing out through its sector-specific mental health advocacy and targeted, proactive grantmaking.
