Cubc Rowing Charitable Fund

The CUBC Rowing Charitable Fund, established in March 2021 and registered as a UK charity in July 2021, is dedicated to advancing the amateur sport of representative rowing at Cambridge University and supporting sports education for its rowers to foster physical capabilities, well-being, resilience, teamwork, and excellence. Founded by Cambridge alumni and former Boat Race competitors, it pursues a long-term sustainable model by building a £20 million capital-protected endowment, using only generated income for club activities while preserving capital in perpetuity. Eligibility is highly restrictive: solely academic institutions tied to Cambridge University in the UK, specifically CUBC—no other universities, sports, or entities qualify. It does not accept unsolicited applications; interested parties must contact the Club directly for phone enquiries, with funding decisions made ad hoc by the trustee board at their discretion, without deadlines, public rounds, or income thresholds.
