The Christadelphian Samaritan Fund (CSF), established in 1961 by the Christadelphian community, embodies the biblical Good Samaritan parable by channeling practical humanitarian aid to relieve suffering worldwide outside its own faith group. Inspired by Christian principles of compassion, impartiality, and neighborly love without boundaries, CSF focuses on enabling its community to support individuals and organizations facing poverty, crises, disasters, warfare, famine, health emergencies, and vulnerabilities among children, youth, disabled people, elderly, or isolated populations. It prioritizes swift responses through grants to reputable aid agencies like the Red Cross, Oxfam, Children In Need, Christian Aid, and the Disasters Emergency Committee, amplifying high-impact external efforts rather than running direct programs.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities, with a preference for established medium-to-large aid organizations addressing humanitarian needs anywhere globally or in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland); no geographic or religious restrictions apply, and grassroots groups are rarely supported. There are no income thresholds, though proposals must align with crisis-oriented projects.

Grants typically range from £2,000 to £25,000 for project-based emergency relief, health, poverty alleviation, or vulnerable group support. CSF does not accept unsolicited applications—trustees identify opportunities via their network and review them at quarterly meetings (March, June, September, December), contacting only selected proposals. Exclusions include general running costs, capital projects, religious activities, or anything benefiting the Christadelphian community internally. Distinctively ecumenical and outward-facing among faith-based funders, CSF excels in flexible, discreet funding for urgent global appeals, prioritizing vetted partners for maximum impartial impact.
