Ampersand Foundation

Key offerings include the biennial Ampersand Foundation Award (£150,000 total: £125,000 for delivery, £25,000 for publication; £5,000 for shortlists), open to Plus Tate network members for ambitious, unconventional exhibitions, and an annual grants scheme backing bold curatorial ventures at venues like Camden Arts Centre and MK Gallery.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs), community interest companies (CICs), or exempt charities of any size, with projects delivered UK-wide; robust safeguarding policies and free public access (at least one full day weekly) are required. Unsolicited applications start with an online Expression of Interest (EOI), followed by full submissions for shortlisted candidates; the process is annual, with the next round opening in 2026 and decisions at trustees' meetings once yearly.
